Different STDs And Their Symptoms
A major problem faced by the governments across the world in an attempt to contain STDs is that a large number of people do not show inclination towards getting educated about the same. In a lot of regions, talking about sex and different sexual parts is still a taboo which does not help in any way whatsoever. A lot of people roam around free without knowing that they are actually carrying an STD virus. Their body keeps decaying and they realize about the same only when it's too late.
Some of the Sexually Transmitted Diseases are:
Chlamydia: the Chlamydia disease is also known as a silent disease the reason for which is self-explanatory. Most patients do not witness or experience any symptoms and as a result, it is very hard to detect it in the early stages. Women are more prone to contracting this disease compared to males. The mode of passage of course includes unprotected sex including vaginal, oral or anal. Fortunately, this disease is not as life threatening as the others belonging to the same category. However, if not treated on time, it can lead to permanent infertility. Treatment for Chlamydia STD can be done with the help of antibiotics which need to be consumed as per the directions of a practicing doctor.

Genital Herpes: This STD may or may not show any symptom which is why, this too is hard to spot. Some symptoms associated with it are itching and experience of pain during urination, both of which can be easily noticed. In the extreme cases, people may witness formation of blisters and sores around their genital areas (which is the reason for the itch). Unfortunately, this is one of the many STD diseases which are incurable. Medicines can only help reduce the severity of this disease. It is the responsibility of the patient to make sure that they do not spread this disease to others around them. The mode of transfer is again indulgence in sex or intercourse.
Gonorrhea: This disease is prominent in men and may go undetected if a checkup is not done. They may experience bloody discharge from their penis (vagina for women who contract it). There is also a risk of infertility which is why the concern levels increase further. If discovered on time and treated, this disease is curable. A simple course of antibiotics is all that is required.
Hepatitis B: Hepatitis B directly affects the liver and is incurable. There are no symptoms and as a result, this is a fairly deadly disease. When contracted, the doctors prescribe liver strengthening medicines to reduce total levels of damage and delay complete liver malfunction.
HIV: This is by far the most commonly known Sexually Transmitted Disease. Major reason for its spread has been due to reusing of syringes etc. in medical institutions. HIV too is incurable and can easily be contracted by indulging in sex with someone who carries this virus. Symptoms include headaches, fatigue etc. which are generally attributed to other diseases and as a result, the carriers only end up passing it on to others.
